Unfair Fight for Oxbridge
Sutton report research again shows the disadvantage that state schools children have compared to their public school educated peers.
I do not wish to get into a discussion on the justice of this, however, some key points for schools with a determination for Oxbridge success:
- Check and double check all personal statements.
- Provide significant opportunities for personals development – throughout school – including quality work experience.
- I am intending to instigate an Oxbridge programme starting in year 7 to fully prepare students for the Oxbridge process.
